Back On The Track
Written by:       Ola, Jocko and Øyvind
Musicians:        Gunnar: drums, piano
                        Marie: backing vocals
Jocko: guitars, lead and backing vocals, bass

The EP was finally finished the spring of 2006, and as the drums was recorded as early as 2004, it was a relief to get the CD packed and sent to the shelves. The EP was supposed to be a full album with 12 tracks, but the songs were written in a hurry, and most of them, wher not good written, nor good enough recorded. I’m to blame for booth. But the three tracks we ended up with, became really good Kids In The Heat release after all, and proves that the Kids are back on the track!

Thanks to Gunnar, Marie, Silje, ARF, Miss Snowjogg-lady and Miss Security.

Drums were recorded in Jocko Records studios Sogndal in 2004. The rest is recorded in Leikanger 2006

Snowjogg Lady Attraction
Written by:      Jocko
Musicians:        Gunnar: drums, piano. Marie Signe Ulvestad Garseth: backing vocals
Jocko: guitars, lead and backing vocals, bass

Trivia: The song is written abut a cute girl wearing snowjoggs in public. Her identity shall remain a secret due to national security, but we can reveal that she is blonde. What’s true and what’s not in the story, has not yet been confirmed by the authorities, but rumours has it that some parts of the lyrics, might in fact be fictional.
In 2005 we recorded a demo-version of this song, but as crappy as it was, the song was terminated, and re-recorded. We apologize to anyone who has heard it….

Trivia: This was originally an ARF song, but was taken out of the ARF catalogue after musical differences between me and Ola. (no hard feelings), and given to Kids In The Heat. With ARF it was a punk song, but it was written as a hair-metal number, and so it was better fit at the Kids.
The first part of the guitar-solo is cleverly written by Ola, and recorded almost way
it sounded on the first ARF-demo. Almost.

Miss Securit
Written by:       Jocko
Musicians:        Gunnar: drums, synth
                        Marie: backing vocals, spoken words
                        Jocko: guitars, vocals, bass

Trivia: The inspiration to the song came from a female security guard, who asked me to write a song about her. The lyrics is written in the tradition T-Rex started, where the point is to get as many cool and sleazy phrases as you can into each line, and all deeper meaning is put aside. The song was arranged acapella, while walking home from school in Volda.
